At LEAP 2025, Cisco unveiled a series of strategic initiatives aimed at advancing artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud services in partnership with Saudi Arabia. The company is investing in advanced cloud data centers, AI talent development, and local manufacturing plans to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
These initiatives will enhance Cisco’s regional presence and contribute to the kingdom’s goal of becoming a technology-driven economy that leads in digital infrastructure and innovation. Cisco’s Chair and CEO, Chuck Robbins, emphasized the company’s role in protecting organizations, preparing the Saudi workforce for the AI era, and contributing to the local economy.
As part of the new developments, Cisco announced that its cloud security services and Webex Collaboration Platform data centers are now operational in Saudi Arabia. These facilities provide AI-powered collaboration tools, security, and privacy features to customers across the region, delivering a superior user experience.
In addition, Cisco is committed to advancing AI talent development in Saudi Arabia through its Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program, in collaboration with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). Cisco will invest in Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certifications to enhance the local talent pool, ensuring that Saudi Arabia’s workforce is AI-ready.
Furthermore, Cisco plans to establish a manufacturing base in Saudi Arabia in 2025, focusing initially on wireless technology fulfillment operations. This manufacturing initiative will contribute to the kingdom’s sustainable and diverse economy, with the potential for scaling in response to market demands.
Salman Faqeeh, Managing Director of Cisco Saudi Arabia, reaffirmed Cisco’s commitment to Vision 2030, stating that these projects would strengthen digital infrastructure and drive economic growth, shaping Saudi Arabia’s future.
