During the third day of Oman’s participation in LEAP 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, four new cooperation agreements were signed between Omani tech startups and international companies, valued at approximately OMR4.3 million. This brings the total value of agreements signed by Omani companies with global firms at LEAP 2025 to nearly OMR9 million, following agreements worth OMR4.5 million on the first and second days of the conference.
The agreements were finalized at the Omani Pavilion, with the presence of CEOs from both government and private sector companies, along with representatives from the involved Omani and Saudi companies.
In a significant development for Omani tech startups, Rakeeza, an Omani company, signed an agreement worth OMR3.5 million with Al Rajhi Holding Group. This collaboration focuses on modern agricultural technologies and sustainable farming solutions, aiming to enhance innovation, expand markets, and drive growth for both parties. Rakeeza also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) valued at OMR750,000 with Fintech Sys to work together on the development of financial technology solutions.
Additionally, Madarek for Innovation, another Omani company, entered an agreement worth OMR38,500 with KiwiTech to establish startup accelerators. In the artificial intelligence sector, Sampo AI signed an agreement with SideUp to join the Smart Trade Alliance. Mubasher, a digital advertising screens company, signed an MoU with Saudi company DILKO to collaborate on digital outdoor advertising in both Oman and Saudi Arabia.
Mohsen Salem Al Araimi, Head of Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, noted that Oman’s successful participation in LEAP 2025 is due to the country’s enhanced digital investment environment, attractive investment incentives, and simplified foreign company registration procedures through the Invest in Oman Hall at the Omani Pavilion.
Al Araimi also highlighted the growing interest from international companies and investors in Oman, particularly in sectors such as data centers and artificial intelligence. He concluded that the nearly OMR9 million in agreements signed during the conference reflects the competitive capabilities of Omani tech startups, the excellence of their innovative digital solutions, and the success of Oman’s participation in the exhibition, which aims to support Omani startups in expanding internationally and attracting global digital investments.
