Viettel High Tech Launches 5G Equipment Trial with du at MWC 2025

Viettel High Tech, a Vietnamese end-to-end 4G/5G solution provider and a subsidiary of the state-owned Viettel Group, has officially launched its 5G equipment trial with the UAE’s Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC (du) at MWC 2025. Du, one of the leading telecom operators in the Middle East, is partnering with Viettel High Tech to test advanced 5G technologies in the region.

During the event, Viettel High Tech and High Cloud Technologies (HCT), a strategic partner in the Middle East, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with du to collaborate on the deployment, testing, and commercialization of 5G solutions across the Middle East. The trial will focus on 5G Open RAN for public networks and 5G solutions for private networks.

Viettel High Tech plans to leverage advanced 5G solutions to meet the growing demand for high-speed data transmission and network capacity, enabling transformative applications such as smart cities, VR/AR experiences, and industrial IoT.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Ha, General Director of Viettel High Tech, commented, “Our collaboration with du and HCT will establish a robust 5G ecosystem that meets international standards and accelerates the region’s digital transformation.”

This partnership aligns with the UAE’s national digitization strategy, which emphasizes investment in telecom infrastructure to drive economic growth. The successful completion of the 5G trials is expected to pave the way for large-scale commercial deployment across the Middle East. Viettel High Tech is also exploring opportunities to expand its network infrastructure solutions in the region.
