Yango Oman, part of the global tech company Yango Group, has partnered with fintech platform Zumr to offer interest-free, short-term financial assistance to its partner drivers across Oman. This initiative aims to provide a safety net for drivers facing unexpected financial challenges, ensuring they can continue working without disruption.
Through the program, drivers on the Yango platform can access financial support of up to OMR 120, with a flexible 12-month repayment plan. The initiative is part of Yango’s broader commitment to supporting its drivers, who play a crucial role in the company’s operations. In the trial phase, 215 drivers registered, with 173 receiving a total of OMR 21,760 in support.
Sheikha Ambuali, Country Manager of Yango Oman, emphasized the importance of this program, saying, “Our partner drivers are the backbone of what we do at Yango, and we deeply value their vital role. The program will help reduce barriers that might hinder their ability to work fully, and we’re proud to offer this support.”
Naseeb Al-Saadi, a Yango driver, shared his experience, stating, “The financial assistance was incredibly helpful, especially in repairing my car. Now, I can work more efficiently and provide better service.”
Zumr was chosen for its user-friendly platform, which simplifies the application process, making it easier for drivers to access the financial assistance they need. Eligible drivers can register for the program through Zumr’s platform at Zumr Signup.
Yango Oman continues to strive for a more stable and supportive environment for its drivers, aiming to enhance their well-being and provide the resources necessary to thrive in their roles.
