To accelerate the digitisation of land services, the Bangladesh government has launched the “Land Service Gateway” aimed at streamlining and unifying various digital land services for citizens. Following directives from Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, a pilot version of the upgraded e-Mutation software has already been rolled out in 19 land circles across Dhaka district, according to a statement from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.
Led by the Information and Communication Technology Division, the initiative has made four key land-related services available online, including: LD Tax (nationwide), e-Mutation (currently in the pilot phase in Dhaka), e-Porcha (nationwide), and e-Khatian and Mouza Maps (nationwide). This move is expected to significantly improve access to land services for citizens, contributing to more efficient governance.
