Nepal’s leading digital payment service provider, eSewa, has partnered with Nepal SBI Bank to offer seamless electronic transaction services. This collaboration allows eSewa users and Nepal SBI Bank customers to easily transfer money electronically, enhancing the accessibility and convenience of digital financial services in Nepal.
The partnership was formalized with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), which aims to provide more services and access to the customers of both organizations. With this new collaboration, Nepal SBI Bank customers will be able to load money directly into their eSewa wallet using the bank’s mobile banking app. Meanwhile, eSewa users can transfer funds from their wallet directly into their Nepal SBI Bank account.
This agreement brings the total number of banks and financial institutions affiliated with eSewa to 51. With the addition of Nepal SBI Bank, eSewa’s digital financial services are set to expand further and support the growth of Nepal’s digital economy.
Mr. Jagdish Khadka, CEO of eSewa, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, noting that it will enhance the money transfer experience for customers of both organizations. He added that the agreement will save time for users and make digital transactions more secure and efficient. Khadka also pledged to continue working together to further benefit customers in the future.
