Dubai Internet City to Showcase Digital Economy Leadership at GITEX Asia 2025

Dubai Internet City, a key enabler of the Middle East’s digital economy, will be part of a delegation led by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) at GITEX Asia, set to take place from April 23-25 in Singapore. As the region’s premier tech hub, part of TECOM Group PJSC, Dubai Internet City will showcase the dynamic innovation powering Dubai’s digital economy at the inaugural edition of GITEX Asia.

Dubai Internet City is a vital contributor to Dubai’s technology sector, generating 65% of the city’s tech sector GDP and facilitating the creation of over 125,000 jobs since its inception in 1999, according to the Dubai Internet City – Impact Assessment study conducted in partnership with Accenture and released this February. Over the last 15 years, it has contributed AED100 billion to Dubai’s GDP.

At GITEX Asia, Dubai Internet City will highlight its role in advancing Dubai’s position as an internationally recognized tech hub. Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President of Commercial at TECOM Group and Managing Director of Dubai Internet City, emphasized, “We are excited to showcase the transformative potential of Dubai Internet City’s ecosystem at GITEX Asia and foster partnerships that will help shape the future of the technology sector. Our goal is to continue strengthening Dubai’s and the UAE’s position as a global destination for business, investment, and innovation, in alignment with the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’ and the UAE Digital Economy Strategy.”

Dubai Internet City’s presence at GITEX Asia will feature success stories from its vibrant ecosystem, which includes over 4,000 customers, such as multinational giants like IBM, Google, and Microsoft, as well as numerous startups. The district is further strengthened by 19 Innovation and Research and Development (R&D) Centres operated by global leaders like 3M, IBM, HP, Ericsson, and Cisco.

Additionally, in5, TECOM Group’s entrepreneurship incubator founded in 2013, has supported over 1,000 startups in the tech, media, design, and science sectors and will also be present at GITEX Asia.
