Oman’s cybersecurity conference, organized by Al Roya newspaper in cooperation with the Cyber Defense Center and Advanced Cybersecurity Academy, focused on “Enabling Cybersecurity in the Logistics Sector.” Held in Muscat, the event featured discussions on cyber risks, best practices, and cybersecurity challenges in logistics.
The conference, under the auspices of Eng. Said Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, included four working papers. Topics covered managing cybersecurity complexities, addressing risks in logistics, cybersecurity threats in IoT, smart warehouses, and industrial control systems. A discussion panel focused on establishing national standards and creating a unified national framework for information security in the logistics sector.
The conference emphasized the growing importance of cybersecurity in logistics as Oman advances its digital infrastructure.
