Morocco is gearing up for a significant leap in urban development with the Smart City Morocco RoadShow & Expo 2025/2030, set to take place from May 21 to 23. Co-organized by Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Casa Events & Animation, and the FIWARE Foundation, the event will travel through Casablanca, Rabat, and Benguerir.
The initiative aims to accelerate the digital transformation of Moroccan and African cities, focusing on knowledge production, technological innovation, and sustainable partnerships. The roadshow comes at a pivotal time as Morocco prepares to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal.
“This initiative aligns with His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s directive, expressed in his July 29, 2023, speech, to enhance the resilience and sustainability of territories,” said the organizing committee.
