KPMG has unveiled the Global Tech Innovator Competition 2025, aimed at discovering the UAE’s top tech innovators poised to disrupt the market. The competition invites startups to pitch their tech-driven solutions focused on transforming customer service to a panel of industry leaders. UAE startups will gain exclusive access to investors and global platforms, with the winner advancing to the global finals, joining finalists from over 20 countries.
Since its inception in 2021, the Global Tech Innovator competition has been instrumental in positioning the UAE as a tech innovation hub, contributing significantly to the region’s growing role in the global digital economy. With more than 5,600 startups registered across the UAE as of late 2024, the country has become a prime incubator for emerging businesses, offering an ideal environment for the competition.
Anurag Bajpai, Partner at KPMG Lower Gulf, stated, “We are committed to supporting emerging trendsetters in the tech sector and are excited to champion UAE tech innovators through our annual global competition, a platform that highlights local talent. As the UAE solidifies its position as a leading technology hub, we are proud to be part of shaping the future of the digital economy.”
Eligible applicants must be registered in the UAE, operating for seven years or less, generating revenues between $1-15M, or have raised at least $500k in equity. The applicant should be a tech-focused or tech-enabled business, and not majority-owned by a large corporation.
The UAE’s thriving tech ecosystem is fueled by a favorable investment environment, low corporate income tax, flexible business policies, and innovation-driven legislation. The competition offers an exceptional platform for startups to elevate their business to the next level while fostering the growth of the UAE’s digital economy.
