These partnerships provide higher education institutions with comprehensive software solutions to streamline student admissions, enabling smooth selection of faculties and preferred subjects. In addition, SAP has launched free training programs for freelancers and is offering digital solutions to both private and public sector organizations.
Expanding its reach, SAP is now focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as part of its broader vision. The company is actively working with local chambers of commerce to introduce advanced digital tools tailored to enhance SME growth and operational efficiency. SAP is also rolling out a software development project in Pakistan, further demonstrating its long-term commitment to the country’s digital transformation.
These initiatives were highlighted during a media briefing titled “The Pathway to a Digital Pakistan,” which featured SAP’s regional leadership: Saquib Ahmed, Managing Director for Pakistan, Iraq, Bahrain & Afghanistan; Shamuel Ali, Director of Marketing; and Fahad Zahid, Director of Large Enterprise Solutions.
Saquib Ahmed emphasized SAP Pakistan’s mission: “Our vision is to make life better and create meaningful impact through innovative SAP solutions.” He highlighted the company’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s digital transformation, aligning with global best practices to boost local businesses.
SAP’s role in shaping Pakistan’s digital landscape is already significant, with major corporations such as PTCL, K-Electric, and leading pharmaceutical and textile firms utilizing SAP’s cloud solutions. Globally, SAP has around 269 million cloud users and offers over 100 integrated solutions that cover every core business function, making it a leader in the cloud space. The company currently operates 57 data centers across 32 locations in 15 countries.
SAP Pakistan’s influence spans various industries, including automotive, banking, consumer goods, textiles, retail, oil and gas, cement, and energy. The Ministry of Finance also employs SAP solutions for federal and provincial budget planning and pension distribution. Additionally, SAP has helped integrate digital financial platforms like Raast ID, facilitating seamless digital transactions for millions of users.
