Tarana, a telecommunications company specializing in next-generation fixed wireless access (ngFWA) technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft to bring high-speed broadband internet to rural and underserved areas across Africa. The collaboration includes deploying Tarana’s ngFWA solutions alongside comprehensive training and technical support for local service providers.
Tarana’s ngFWA technology is designed to deliver reliable broadband even in challenging environments with non-line-of-sight (NLoS) conditions and heavy radio interference, making it particularly suitable for remote and difficult-to-reach communities.
This partnership aims to enhance connectivity, empower local providers, and bridge the digital divide across the continent, aligning with broader efforts to expand internet access in underserved regions.
