Ezditek Joins Gulf Data Centre Association to Boost Middle Eastern Digital Infrastructure

Ezditek, a leading provider of data centre and digital infrastructure services, has become a member of the Gulf Data Centre Association (GDCA). The GDCA is a trade association dedicated to advancing the data centre industry across the Gulf region and fostering innovation in Middle Eastern digital infrastructure. The GDCA comprises 1,500 members committed to enhancing data centre standards and establishing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as a major global data hub.

Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ezditek specializes in offering expert guidance, consultancy, and comprehensive support for customers to maximize the value of their digital infrastructure through its data centre facilities. By joining the GDCA, Ezditek aligns itself with other prominent members such as stc, center3, Gulf Data Hub, Batelco, and GBI.

The GDCA, founded in 2022, serves as a platform for stakeholders involved in operating, servicing, and investing in data centres across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The association aims to endorse industry growth and development of the region’s digital infrastructure.

As a new GDCA member, Ezditek will:

  • Share its expertise with existing members
  • Collaborate on solutions for emerging technologies
  • Address modern industry demands, including connectivity and regional Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements

Henry Sutton, Founder of the GDCA, expressed his excitement about welcoming Ezditek to the association. “We believe collaboration on an industry-wide basis is key to enabling future digital growth as data centre demand continues to rise in the Middle East,” said Sutton. “With every new member, we’re building momentum to establish a thriving and sustainable data centre sector in the GCC supported by a strong and diverse ecosystem.”

Ibrahim Almulhim, CEO of Ezditek, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “Ezditek is proud to become a member of the GDCA as we strengthen our commitment to accelerating innovation in emerging technologies and enabling digital transformation in the Middle Eastern data centre industry,” said Almulhim. “The work the GDCA does directly aligns with our mission to grow the KSA as a global digital hub with sustainable digital infrastructure and expert consultancy. We look forward to collaborating alongside industry leaders to share key learnings and best practices with the goal of delivering digital infrastructure built for the future.”

The Middle Eastern data centre market is projected to register a CAGR of 14.74%, with an increasing number of facilities being established across the region. This growth is attracting major players from other geographies to venture into this expanding market.
