Telecommunications Corporation Delivers Medicines to Burns Center in Hodeidah

Hodeidah – The General Administration of the Telecommunications Corporation has delivered a batch of medicines worth six million riyals to the Burns Center at Al-Thawra General Hospital in Hodeidah Governorate, as part of its ongoing humanitarian initiatives to strengthen medical capacity and ease patients’ suffering.

During the handover, Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi praised the initiative, describing it as a reflection of solidarity and support for patients and the wounded under the country’s difficult circumstances. He stressed that healthcare is a priority for the local authority, and such contributions complement efforts to improve medical services for citizens.

Al-Thawra Hospital Authority Chairman Dr. Khaled Suhail commended the support, calling it a positive step that will help the Burns Center meet urgent needs and enhance its life-saving role. He highlighted that the center is one of the most critical specialized units, regularly receiving large numbers of cases that require sustained support.

Ali Makki, Director of the Telecommunications Corporation in Hodeidah, affirmed that the delivery reflects the Corporation’s commitment to social responsibility, noting that it will continue to implement initiatives that ease people’s hardships and serve the community.

Meanwhile, Awsan Zaid, representative of the Corporation’s General Administration, explained that this initiative is part of a broader plan to support hospitals and the healthcare sector in multiple governorates, with the aim of ensuring sustainable contributions to medical services nationwide.
