Cairo – Cisco, in collaboration with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), has launched the country’s first Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Mobile Lab. The facility, hosted at Cisco’s Cairo office, is part of the company’s global Mobile Labs network.
The new lab enables specialized engineers in Egypt, the wider region, and beyond to obtain the prestigious CCIE certification without the need to travel abroad. Recognized worldwide as one of the highest levels of technical expertise, CCIE is awarded to engineers with advanced skills in designing, implementing, and managing complex networks—core infrastructure in today’s AI-driven digital economy.
The launch supports MCIT’s strategy to provide advanced technical training for youth and empower them with internationally recognized certifications. By strengthening Egypt’s pool of highly skilled engineers, the initiative aims to accelerate the country’s digital transformation journey.
NTI and Cisco have been partners for over 20 years, with their collaboration already producing thousands of certified professionals in networking and cybersecurity. This new step further deepens their joint efforts to build a globally competitive tech workforce.
The first phase of CCIE assessments at the Cairo Mobile Lab is scheduled to run from September 21 to October 2.
