The Bangladesh-China Apon Media Club and the Technology Media Guild Bangladesh (TMGB) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in technology-related news sharing and deepen media ties between the two countries.
The signing ceremony took place on 26 August at CMG Bangla’s Dhaka office, where Olivia Qu represented Apon Media Club and Mohammad Kawsar Uddin, President of TMGB, signed on behalf of the guild.
Joining virtually, Anandi Yu, Head of CMG’s Bangla Service, said the partnership would enhance global networking and information exchange, further strengthening the friendship between Bangladesh and China.
TMGB President Kawsar Uddin highlighted the growing importance of artificial intelligence and mobile journalism in modern reporting and said Bangladeshi media professionals could benefit greatly from China’s expertise in these fields.
Speakers at the event expressed optimism that the MoU would expand collaboration in information sharing, journalist training, and professional development, helping to build stronger people-to-people connections.
Also present were TMGB Vice President Kumar Bishwajit Roy, General Secretary Mursalin Haque Zonaid, and Organizing Secretary Md. Golam Dustogir Touhid.
The Bangladesh-China Apon Media Club, launched in December 2024, focuses on fostering bilateral media collaboration, while TMGB, active since 2019, works to promote excellence in technology journalism in Bangladesh.
