Zain Cash has entered a strategic collaboration with Mastercard to expand digital payment adoption and strengthen its card portfolio in Jordan. The partnership will deliver innovative, secure, and seamless payment solutions, while supporting financial inclusion and the country’s National Digital Transformation Strategy.
The agreement covers Zain Cash’s Mastercard prepaid and credit card offerings, as well as SME-focused solutions. Mastercard will also help establish Zain Cash’s Innovation Hub in Jordan, where both companies will co-create advanced payment products and services tailored to evolving customer needs.
Zain Cash CEO Sultan Kashoura said the initiative reinforces the company’s mission to broaden access to cutting-edge payment solutions and enhance offerings across multi-currency, SME, and ecommerce sectors. Mastercard’s Saud Swar emphasized the collaboration’s role in building a scalable, secure ecosystem to drive Jordan’s digital economy.
Since its 2011 launch, Zain Cash has grown into a leading fintech in Jordan, offering money transfers, bill payments, digital wallets, and prepaid services. It also became the first telco in the region to issue credit cards, after launching Mastercard World, Platinum, and Standard in 2023.
