The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) have recognized 100 top-performing students from the first phase of Egypt’s upgraded Summer Training Program, part of a nationwide effort to equip 10,000 undergraduates with advanced technology skills.
Aligned with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s (MCIT) strategy, the initiative aims to strengthen Egypt’s digital talent pool and reinforce its position as a global hub for ICT and offshoring services. The program blends technical training with freelancing and soft skills development, covering eight core areas: software development, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, electronics, digital arts, and systems management.
During the ceremony, certificates were awarded to outstanding students, including those who earned Huawei’s HCCDA-Tech Essentials certification in cloud computing. The event also featured interactive workshops on career planning and soft skills development. Students toured Smart Village to gain exposure to global and local firms such as Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS), Brightskies, and SEITech Solutions.
Since launching in June, the program has trained 6,125 students across Egypt, with 2,220 in Greater Cairo, 2,785 in the Delta and Northern governorates, 905 in Upper Egypt, and 215 in the Canal region. Training is delivered in hybrid formats through NTI’s premises, Creativa Innovation Hubs, and online platforms. Over 1,400 students also earned international digital badges from NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI), advancing MCIT’s vision of nurturing AI-ready talent.
