Robi Axiata, Bangladesh’s second-largest mobile network operator, has received the BBR Corporate Award 2025 in recognition of its contribution to the nation’s telecommunications sector. The award was presented at the international conference “The Future of Business: Innovation, Technology and Sustainability”, hosted by the Bureau of Business Research (BBR) under the University of Chittagong’s Faculty of Business Administration.
The event, held at the Radisson Blu Bay View in Chattogram, was attended by Commerce Advisor Sheikh Bashir Uddin and Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohammad Yahia Akhter. Md Iftekharul Alam, Robi’s Senior Regional Head for Chattogram North, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
In a statement, Robi said the recognition highlights its commitment to innovation and ongoing progress in expanding digital services nationwide. The operator continues to invest in telecom infrastructure across urban and rural regions, reinforcing its role in supporting Bangladesh’s digital transformation agenda.
Robi Axiata PLC is majority-owned by Malaysia’s Axiata Group Berhad (61.82%), with Bharti Airtel (28.18%) and public shareholders (10%) holding the remaining stake.
