Global Tech Titans Converge in Dubai for GITEX Global 2025

Dubai — The world’s largest technology and AI event, GITEX Global 2025, is set to return to Dubai from October 13–17, spotlighting groundbreaking innovations across biotech, physical AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, and data centres. As the global AI market heads toward $4.8 trillion by 2033 (UNCTAD), the event underscores AI’s central role in reshaping industries and solving global challenges.

More than 6,800 tech enterprises and 2,000 startups from 180 countries will participate, bringing together leaders driving the next wave of AI infrastructure expansion. Major global players such as Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, Dell, e&, G42, Google, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Siemens, and Snowflake will anchor the exhibition, alongside new entrants including Cerebras, Datadog, Mitsubishi, Qualcomm, Rital, ServiceNow, Tata Electronics, Telecom Italia, and Tenstorrent.

Running parallel to GITEX is Expand North Star 2025 (October 12–15 at Dubai Harbour), hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. Now in its 10th edition, it connects 2,000 startups — the world’s highest share of growth-stage ventures — with 1,200 investors managing over $1.1 trillion in assets.

Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of DWTC, said: “Future-critical sectors such as data centres, biotech, quantum, and robotics are where AI ingenuity is converging with humanity’s most pressing challenges. GITEX Global 2025 provides new impetus for transformative technologies driving innovation-led progress across industries and economies.”

Record Global Participation

This year marks unprecedented international participation. Brazil joins as Country Partner, sending its largest-ever tech delegation, while Serbia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tech Destination Pakistan are key partners. New national pavilions debut from Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, and Türkiye, expanding representation from Europe, LATAM, Central Asia, Africa, and the Levant.

Tatiana Riera, COO of ApexBrasil, said: “We’re proud to bring 50 startups showcasing how Brazil is driving innovation for global challenges.”
Marko Čadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, added: “Our startups are demonstrating AI applications across fields from energy to sentiment analysis — showcasing the full breadth of Serbian innovation.”

Data Centres: The AI Factories of the Future

With global data centre investment projected to surpass $500 billion in 2025 (BofA Research), GITEX will also highlight their growing importance as “AI factories.” O’Leary Ventures, developing the world’s largest AI data centre industrial park in Canada, will lead discussions on investment and infrastructure.

Paul Palandjian, CEO and Co-General Partner of O’Leary Ventures, said: “The UAE stands at the crossroads of global technology and AI development — unmatched in leadership, vision, and resources.”
Adding regional insight, Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna (a G42 company), will explore how infrastructure, energy, and policy frameworks can evolve fast enough to meet the demands of giga-scale AI operations.
