Arab Youth Explore the Future of Health Tech at the 2025 Arab Youth Tech Fellowship

Abu Dhabi, October 7, 2025 — The Arab Youth Center’s 4th Arab Youth Tech Fellowship Program is underway at the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy, bringing together 23 young innovators from eight Arab nations — including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, and Morocco. Running for 12 days until October 17, the program explores four key areas: Artificial Intelligence, Health Technology, Climate Tech & Sustainability, and Web3.

The second day of the fellowship centered on “Health Tech,” highlighting the transformative potential of AI in medicine. The day opened with a keynote on emerging global health trends, emphasizing intelligent technologies as tools to enhance quality of life and healthcare efficiency across the Arab region.

AI in Medical Innovation

Dr. Bashayer Mohammed Mousa from the University of Sharjah discussed breakthroughs in AI-powered healthcare research, noting how intelligent systems are improving diagnostics, treatment precision, and data-driven clinical decisions. Her session underscored the role of young researchers in bridging data analytics with real-world medical solutions.

The Gulf’s First Human Digital Twin Experience

A major highlight was the first-ever Human Digital Twin demonstration in the Gulf, led virtually by Dr. Jamil El-Imad from Imperial College London. The interactive session showcased how digital twin technologies can model the human body in real time, allowing doctors to simulate treatment outcomes, monitor vital signs, and predict disease progression. This innovation promises to revolutionize healthcare by reducing costs, increasing diagnostic accuracy, and improving sustainability in medical systems.

Entrepreneurial Workshops and Field Visits

Participants also attended a practical workshop titled “Startups: Pitching and Storytelling Skills,” conducted by Ms. Hind Khalifat from Daraya Speaker Platform. The session taught participants to craft compelling narratives around their startup ideas, enhancing their ability to attract investors and strategic partners.

The day concluded with a visit to StartAD, an Abu Dhabi-based accelerator where fellows explored the city’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. They gained insight into how the UAE fosters innovation, supports scalable business models, and attracts Arab talent to build a knowledge-driven economy.
