Dubai — Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at GITEX Global 2025, one of the world’s largest technology and innovation exhibitions being held in Dubai.
The Ministry of IT and Telecom (MoITT) facilitated the participation of 10 homegrown Pakistani startups, representing the country’s rapidly growing digital innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem. These startups are showcasing cutting-edge solutions in AI, fintech, blockchain, e-commerce, and health tech, highlighting Pakistan’s emerging role as a competitive player in the global digital economy.
Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to supporting youth-led innovation and expanding the country’s IT exports and digital footprint through global platforms like GITEX.
“The participation of Pakistani startups at GITEX reflects our vision to integrate Pakistan into the global digital economy, foster cross-border partnerships, and promote the country’s innovation potential,” she said.
The Pakistan Pavilion serves as a gateway for international investors, partners, and technology firms to explore collaboration opportunities with Pakistan’s tech ecosystem. It also underscores MoITT’s ongoing efforts to build a knowledge-based economy aligned with the government’s Digital Pakistan initiative.
The inauguration was attended by industry leaders, delegates, and representatives from regional and international technology firms, marking a proud moment for Pakistan’s growing presence on the global technology stage.
