Saudi Communication Minister Meets Mark Zuckerberg to Advance AI and Digital Innovation Partnerships

Washington, D.C. — Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Al-Swaha, met with Mark Zuckerberg, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Meta, as part of his official visit to the United States.

The meeting, reported by the Saudi Press Agency, centered on collaboration in artificial intelligence, large language models, the metaverse, and generative AI. Both sides explored joint initiatives to empower innovators and developers, strengthen national digital capabilities, and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s leadership in emerging technologies.

The engagement aligns with the Kingdom’s broader digital transformation agenda under Vision 2030, which positions Saudi Arabia as a regional hub for technological advancement, innovation, and AI-driven development.
