Aramex and Bahrain Post Launch Kingdom’s First Smart Parcel Box Network

Manama, Bahrain — Global logistics leader Aramex has partnered with Bahrain Post to launch the country’s first nationwide network of electronic parcel boxes, marking a major step toward modernising last-mile delivery and enhancing e-commerce logistics across the Kingdom.

The innovative system introduces automated, contactless parcel collection available 24/7 through secure smart terminals strategically located across Bahrain. Each delivery is fully trackable, with real-time notifications sent via integrated mobile applications. The boxes are owned by Bahrain Post and powered by Aramex’s advanced technology and logistics infrastructure.

Driving Efficiency in the E-Commerce Boom

With GCC e-commerce sales projected to hit $50 billion by 2025, the partnership responds to growing demand for faster, more flexible delivery solutions. Automated collection models such as this can reduce delivery costs by up to 30%, while boosting customer satisfaction through convenience and reduced congestion in delivery networks.

Yanal Anz, General Manager at Aramex Bahrain, said:

“Aramex is at the forefront of building smart logistics infrastructure in the region. Our collaboration with Bahrain Post reflects a shared vision of upgrading national delivery systems with technology-driven solutions. Together, we are improving convenience while setting a new benchmark for customer-focused logistics in Bahrain.”

A Step Toward Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030

The initiative aligns with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) mandate to modernize logistics and enhance connectivity across land, sea, and air. It serves both individual consumers and businesses, creating a scalable, sustainable delivery model that supports national economic diversification goals.

Sustainability and Regional Leadership

For Aramex, headquartered in the UAE, the project reinforces its ongoing digital transformation and sustainability strategy. Operating in over 600 cities across 70 countries, Aramex continues to push toward carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050, integrating technology and sustainability at the core of its operations.
