Grameenphone, Teletalk, and EDOTCO Sign Tower-Sharing Agreement to Expand Nationwide Coverage

Grameenphone, state-owned Teletalk, and EDOTCO Bangladesh have signed a tripartite tower infrastructure-sharing agreement aimed at expanding mobile coverage, accelerating site deployment, and improving service quality across Bangladesh.

Under the partnership, EDOTCO will provide shared tower infrastructure to both operators, enabling faster network rollouts, reducing duplication, and enhancing operational efficiency. The collaboration is expected to significantly improve connectivity and user experience for millions of mobile subscribers nationwide.

The agreement was signed by Yasir Azman, CEO of Grameenphone; Nurul Mabud Chowdhury, Managing Director of Teletalk; and Sunil Isaac, Country Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh. Senior executives from all three organizations attended the signing ceremony.

“Customers are at the heart of everything we do,” said Yasir Azman. “This collaboration will strengthen our network and improve the quality of service we deliver every day.”

Teletalk’s Managing Director, Nurul Mabud Chowdhury, added that the initiative will help the state-owned operator expand coverage efficiently while keeping services affordable for citizens across the nation.

Calling the partnership a “significant industry milestone,” EDOTCO’s Sunil Isaac highlighted that the tower-sharing model optimizes national telecom resources, lowers expansion costs, and enhances quality of service — aligning with Bangladesh’s digital transformation vision.

The agreement reinforces a shared commitment to building a digitally inclusive Bangladesh, providing more people with reliable mobile connectivity and access to digital services across urban and rural areas alike.
