Kuwait’s FASTtelco and USA’s Frontier Climb Netflix ISP Speed Index in October 2025

November 11, 2025: Netflix’s latest ISP Speed Index—which measures prime-time streaming performance—shows a general uptick in global internet speeds, with notable gains by providers in Kuwait and the United States.

According to the October 2025 update, 67% of ISPs worldwide recorded an increase of 0.2 Mbps, while 1% rose by 0.4 Mbps. Eleven regions remained in the top performance tier with average speeds of 3.4 Mbps, including the UK, Canada, Hong Kong, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, and the US.

Key ISP Improvements

  • Kuwait: FASTtelco jumped from 2.6 Mbps to 3.0 Mbps, marking one of the strongest regional improvements.
  • United States: Frontier increased from 3.0 Mbps to 3.4 Mbps, joining the top-performing group.
  • Chile: Movistar Fibra and Wom Fiber both rose to 3.4 Mbps.
  • Mexico: Telmex DSL improved from 2.8 Mbps to 3.2 Mbps.
  • Honduras: Reytel climbed from 2.0 Mbps to 2.4 Mbps.

ISPs That Declined

Only 1% of ISPs reported lower speeds. Among them:

  • Kuwait’s BOnline dropped from 2.4 to 2.2 Mbps.
  • Pakistan’s KK Networks decreased from 2.0 to 1.8 Mbps.
  • Bolivia’s Digital TV fell from 2.6 to 2.4 Mbps.
  • Vietnam’s FPT Telecom slid from 3.0 to 2.8 Mbps.

While no country saw an overall average speed change since September, the results highlight how targeted infrastructure improvements—especially in markets like Kuwait and the US—continue to enhance streaming quality and end-user experience.
