Morocco launches new digital app to help citizens track their complaints

Morocco’s Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched a new digital application that allows citizens to track the progress of their complaints and receive instant updates on actions taken by judicial authorities. Announced in an official statement, the service strengthens communication between public prosecutors across the country’s courts and aims to make the justice system more transparent and accessible.

Citizens will receive real-time notifications via text messages sent to the phone numbers they provide when submitting their complaints. The app is designed to offer faster, clearer visibility into case progress while reducing the need for in-person follow-ups.

The initiative forms part of the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s broader strategy to modernize judicial administration by improving access to information, enhancing communication with the public and reinforcing principles of transparency, efficiency and proximity. It also aims to strengthen public trust in the justice system by giving citizens a simpler, more user-friendly way to monitor their cases.

Morocco has accelerated judicial digitalization in recent years through online court services, remote hearings introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic and platforms for accessing legal documents. The new complaint-tracking app complements these efforts by offering a more reliable and responsive communication channel between citizens and judicial institutions.
