Moroccan sports technology startup Reborn has been named the grand winner of the NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator 2025, emerging on top among more than 700 organizations from 32 African countries. The recognition comes just days ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025), further highlighting Morocco’s growing role as a continental hub for globally relevant innovation.
Reborn focuses on data- and artificial intelligence-driven performance technologies that are already being used by training centers and sports academies across Morocco. As part of the award, the startup will receive $25,000 in funding, a 12-month incubation program at Carnegie Mellon University’s Business Incubation Program, $10,000 in API credits, and an exclusive immersion with OpenAI engineers at the company’s global headquarters. Reborn will also gain access to the innovation ecosystems of NBA Africa, ALX Ventures, ServiceNow, and CMU-Africa.
According to a press release, the achievement celebrates African talent and Moroccan ambition while underscoring the future of sports performance technologies. The initiative is supported by Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Evosport, and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), reinforcing collaboration between academia, industry, and sports institutions.
