stc signs five-year agreement with Ericsson to accelerate Saudi digital infrastructure

stc Group has signed a new five-year master frame agreement with Ericsson to accelerate the deployment of advanced digital infrastructure across Saudi Arabia. The agreement enables stc to leverage Ericsson’s latest 5G hardware and software, cloud-native solutions, advanced managed services, and network support capabilities.

Building on a long-standing partnership that includes the launch of one of the Kingdom’s first 5G networks in 2019, the new agreement will support faster expansion of 5G and the rollout of advanced technologies such as 5G Standalone, 5G Advanced, Massive MIMO, Ericsson Radio System products, and cloud-based network management platforms.

Abdullah M. Alowini, Supply Chain Vice President at stc Group, said the agreement reflects stc’s commitment to driving digital transformation and innovation, delivering advanced connectivity for consumers and enterprises, and supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambition to build a globally competitive digital economy.

Håkan Cervell, Vice President and Head of Ericsson Saudi Arabia, said Ericsson will continue to work closely with stc to deliver digital infrastructure that supports innovation, economic competitiveness, and the realization of Vision 2030.

The expanded partnership will enable new consumer and enterprise use cases through capabilities such as 5G Standalone network slicing, allowing differentiated connectivity and new business models. stc will also benefit from Ericsson’s managed services to optimize network performance and ensure a scalable, resilient, and future-ready mobile network that supports digital inclusion across the Kingdom.

This strengthened collaboration aligns with stc Group’s long-term strategic priorities, including readiness for next-generation technologies, public safety networks, and broader national goals to enhance Saudi Arabia’s regional and global digital competitiveness.
