MCIT Organises Awareness Sessions to Support SMEs in Adopting Modern Digital Tools

Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), through the Qatar Digital Academy and in collaboration with Microsoft, has organised two awareness sessions under the SMEs Go Digital Program to help small and medium-sized enterprises adopt modern digital tools. The sessions were held at the Digital Center of Excellence and focused on improving productivity, simplifying operations, and supporting sustainable business growth.

The first session highlighted Microsoft productivity applications, with experts providing practical training on collaboration, teamwork, time management, and information sharing within organisations. Real-world examples were shared to demonstrate how these tools can be applied across different work environments to enhance operational efficiency.

The second session focused on Microsoft Business Central, an integrated business management system that offers insights into financial operations, supply chain management, sales, and inventory. Participants were shown practical use cases illustrating how the platform supports better planning, faster decision-making, and scalable digital transformation.

The sessions are part of a broader series under the SMEs Go Digital Program, which targets key sectors including tourism, education, healthcare, retail and wholesale, and transport and logistics. The initiative aligns with Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030, aiming to build an innovative business ecosystem and strengthen SMEs’ readiness for the digital future.
