IKEA Saudi Arabia and Bahrain signs 3-year agreement with HITEK AI to deploy SAFETEK HSSE digital platform

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – January 28, 2026

Middle East-based HITEK AI, part of the Farnek Group, has signed a three-year SAFETEK Services Agreement with Ghassan Ahmed Al Sulaiman Furniture Trading Co. (IKEA Saudi Arabia and Bahrain), marking a major milestone in IKEA’s ongoing efforts to digitally transform Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) governance across its regional operations.

The agreement covers the full deployment of HITEK’s flagship SAFETEK platform, including implementation, support, and capability-building services. The initiative is designed to help IKEA achieve safer, more compliant, and more resilient operations across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

HITEK AI will deliver its cloud-based SAFETEK web platform alongside mobile applications for iOS and Android, enabling real-time reporting, analytics, and compliance management across IKEA’s regional network.

SAFETEK will be deployed with fully integrated modules covering incident reporting and investigation, audits and inspections, corrective actions, risk assessment and management, safety policies and procedures, training and education, safety equipment and resource management, monitoring and compliance, communication and reporting, documentation and record-keeping, safety observations, emergency preparedness, and centralized dashboards and reports.

Beyond system deployment, HITEK AI will conduct a comprehensive diagnosis, development, and delivery of IKEA’s HSSE policies and standard operating procedures. These will address employee well-being, workplace and food safety, emergency preparedness and response, physical security, and environmental sustainability.

The result is a structured and compliant HSSE framework aligned with IKEA’s internal governance standards and applicable Saudi regulatory requirements.

SAFETEK’s document management capabilities will support IKEA’s HSSE modernization by improving incident tracking, strengthening training and compliance monitoring, enhancing risk assessment processes, and increasing employee engagement across IKEA outlets in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Manama.

Commenting on the collaboration, Javeria Aijaz, Managing Director of HITEK AI, said the agreement reflects IKEA’s commitment to embedding world-class HSSE standards across its operations. She added that the partnership will deliver a unified ecosystem for safety, compliance, and governance built around scale, transparency, and continuous improvement.
