Weego Raises $1.1 Million to Modernize Multimodal Transport in Morocco

Casablanca-based startup Weego, founded by Saad Jittou and Mor Niane, has secured $1.1 million in funding from Azur Innovation Fund. The investment aims to accelerate the deployment of Weego’s multimodal transport integration platform across Morocco and support its planned expansion to Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

Weego addresses urban congestion by providing a single digital interface connecting buses, trams, taxis, and private transport. The platform allows users to plan and track journeys in real time, making public transport as convenient and predictable as private travel. Currently active in five Moroccan cities, Weego also offers businesses tools to optimize employee transportation, reduce costs and carbon footprint, and improve punctuality and comfort.

Saad Jittou, CEO and co-founder, emphasized that efficient transportation is critical for urban economic activity and highlighted that the funding will strengthen technical teams, enhance data integration, expand city coverage, accelerate B2B client acquisition, and support regional growth.

Azur Innovation Fund views the investment as a strategic step to promote smart mobility solutions in Morocco and the wider region, positioning Weego as a potential standard for modern urban transport.
