The pan-African Netis Group has significantly bolstered its North African footprint by acquiring a majority stake in Netcom Technologies Morocco, a Casablanca-based leader in systems integration and network engineering. Formally signed on February 17, 2026, and announced this week, the deal marks a pivotal shift for Netis as it transitions from a specialized provider of telecom towers and fiber optics into a comprehensive partner for high-availability IT infrastructure and digital security.
Founded in 1992, Netcom Technologies brings decades of expertise in serving Morocco’s public and private sectors with structured cabling, data center solutions, and physical security systems. For Netis—which operates across 16 African nations and is backed by a powerhouse consortium including the IFC and AfricInvest—the acquisition is a “structural operation” designed to anchor its Moroccan presence while exporting Netcom’s high-value technical services to its other geographies. Led by CEO Alykhan Kassam, the group aims to leverage this partnership to accelerate the deployment of critical digital and energy infrastructure across the continent, supporting sustainable growth and technological sovereignty for African economies.
