Turkey’s First 10 Gbps Home Fibre Broadband Service Launched

A major telecommunications operator has announced the addition of a 10 Gbps package to its fibre broadband portfolio, marking the first time such speeds have been made available for residential use in the country. The new offering expands the existing high-speed lineup, which now includes connectivity tiers of 2 Gbps, 5 Gbps, and 10 Gbps. According to company leadership, this move elevates the home internet experience far beyond the previous 1000 Mbps standard, providing a more robust connection for environments with high device density.

The service is powered by a premium modem launched last year that supports the latest wireless standards and enables upload speeds of up to 1 Gbps. This infrastructure is specifically designed to handle the demands of cloud-based workflows and high-definition live broadcasting. Recent financial reports from the operator indicate a growing demand for such services, with a significant increase in fibre subscribers and expanded coverage reaching over six million households by the end of the previous year.
