The Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), a member of the Qatar Foundation, has introduced the inaugural edition of its Global Innovation Link program, designed to foster international collaboration among innovators, entrepreneurs, and various global institutions. This initiative debuts with the inclusion of five tech startups from Pakistan, marking a significant step in global tech collaboration.
Enriching the Tech Ecosystem with International Talent
QSTP’s Global Innovation Link program aims to enhance the Qatari tech ecosystem by integrating global talents and ideas. The program offers a two-week immersive experience in Qatar, where participants engage with academic, industry, and government stakeholders, enjoy free co-working space, and receive a weekly stipend. Highlighting this engagement, selected teams will showcase their innovations at the QSTP AI Week in November, offering a platform for exposure and networking.
Diverse Startups, Broad Impact
Among the startups participating is Bilytica, a Software as a Service (SaaS), Data, and AI company with a strong presence across several countries and a client base in sectors like banking and healthcare. Joining Bilytica is Adlytic AI, which focuses on AI retail analytics by transforming CCTV systems into smart sensors that provide actionable business insights.
Shispare, a software development and business solutions firm, also joins the program, bringing expertise in SaaS cloud product engineering and mobile app development. Aridian Technologies and Digifloat, known for their diverse digital solutions and data technology services, complete the lineup, offering services ranging from app development to cybersecurity.
Fostering Knowledge and Growth
Dr. Jack Lau, President of QSTP, expressed enthusiasm about the program’s potential to serve as a gateway to technology in the Middle East and to foster knowledge exchange and capacity building. “We are excited to welcome these innovative teams from Pakistan and support their growth and impact through our comprehensive program,” said Dr. Lau.
His Excellency Muhemmed Aejaz, Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar, highlighted the significance of this initiative for Pakistani startups, noting that it strengthens technological and entrepreneurial ties between Qatar and Pakistan. “This program not only demonstrates the vibrant potential of Pakistan’s IT sector but also aligns with Qatar’s Vision 2030, creating new opportunities for collaborative success,” he stated.
The Global Innovation Link program is open to teams with a robust STEM background, requiring nominations from official state or national bodies. As QSTP plans to expand its reach, more global innovators are expected to join and enrich Qatar’s technological landscape.
