Nokia deploys AI-driven fixed network analytics for Turkcell covering 3 million subscribers

Nokia has completed a fixed broadband analytics deployment for Turkcell, Türkiye’s largest mobile operator, covering more than three million fixed broadband customers and processing service-quality data from an estimated 15 million connected devices on an hourly basis, the companies announced.

The project, launched in early 2025, gives Turkcell end-to-end visibility across its fixed access network and into subscriber home networks, enabling fault detection before service degradation reaches the customer. The system runs on a cloud-native architecture and uses AI-driven automation to prioritise interventions and reduce the volume of reactive support calls.

“Our objective is to ensure home connectivity is both stable and of the highest standard,” said Prof. Dr. V. Çağrı Güngör, Chief Technology Officer at Turkcell. “This approach prevents our customers from losing time with support calls and ensures a frictionless experience.”

The deployment reflects a broader shift in how fixed network operators manage infrastructure. As broadband traffic grows and customer tolerance for outages narrows, operators across Europe and the Middle East are moving from scheduled maintenance cycles toward continuous, data-driven monitoring. Nokia has positioned its fixed network analytics platform as a stepping stone toward fully autonomous network operations, a direction several Tier 1 operators are now actively pursuing.

Turkcell serves approximately 22 million mobile subscribers in Türkiye alongside its fixed broadband customer base, making it one of the region’s larger integrated operators. Nokia’s European operations, led by Executive Vice-President John Harrington, have been actively expanding the vendor’s AI and analytics footprint across operator accounts as the company competes with Ericsson and Huawei in the managed intelligence space.
