Qatar Digital Business Award 2024 Recognizes Excellence in Digital Innovation and Transformation

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Qatar has announced the winners of the 2024 Qatar Digital Business Award in a ceremony attended by HE the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohammed bin Ali al-Mannai. The award ceremony celebrated digital creativity and innovation, aimed at enhancing the technological capabilities and service quality of companies to compete regionally and internationally, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.

In his speech, HE al-Mannai highlighted the role of modern digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and 5G networks, in strengthening the national economy. He also emphasized the importance of a diverse and competitive digital economy driven by innovation and entrepreneurship, with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs playing a key role in driving digital progress. Al-Mannai noted Qatar’s investment in developing digital skills, pointing out that the country has doubled the number of digital specialists over the past decade, reaching around 21,000.

This year’s edition of the Qatar Digital Business Award expanded to include 14 categories, with four new categories introduced to address the evolving market needs and promote greater diversity. Among the winning companies were ADGS Computer Systems for Research and Development Excellence, SkipCash for Best Smart Solution, Mannai for Best Smart Solution, Sponix Tech LLC for Best AI Solution, and Wellkins Medical Center for Best Digital Transformation. Other winners included Wqtah QSTP for Best Company in Digital Commerce, Qatar Chemical Company Ltd. for Best Digital Transformation, Hamad Mubarak Al Hajri for Entrepreneur of the Year, Cytomate for Best Cybersecurity Solution, Malomatia for Best Cybersecurity Solution, Meeza QSTP LLC for Best ICT Services Provider, Hamad International Airport (DOH) for Best AI Solution, and QNB for Best Digital Experience.

Reem al-Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Industry Affairs at MCIT, commented on the significance of this year’s award, highlighting the strong competition across categories and the substantial progress in digital technology adoption across both the public and private sectors. She expressed excitement for further creativity and innovation in the future, reinforcing Qatar’s leadership in digital transformation.

Al-Mansoori also extended gratitude to the award’s partners, including the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), Qatar Development Bank (QDB), Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council (QRDI), and Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ). She also thanked the sponsors, Cisco Networking Academy, Qatar National Broadband Network, PwC, and Al Sharq newspaper, for their contributions to the success of the award.

This year, the Qatar Digital Business Award received 303 applications from 132 companies and organizations across various sectors. Winners were selected through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by an independent jury of 23 digital experts. The award continues to serve as a national platform that accelerates digital transformation in Qatar, encourages the adoption of digital technologies, and fosters the exchange of expertise among stakeholders, contributing to the country’s knowledge-based economy in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
