AMMAN — Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmad Hanandeh, announced that the “Jordan Source” programme is positioning Jordan as an ideal destination for investment in the technology and digitisation sectors, particularly in IT outsourcing, external support services, and video game development.
Hanandeh emphasized that the programme aims to create a collaborative investment ecosystem within the technology and digitisation sector, streamlining the investor experience and showcasing Jordan’s strengths. These include a talented young workforce, a favorable investment climate, robust infrastructure, and world-class resources, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The primary goal of the programme is to engage with both local and international investors and business owners. It seeks to help Jordanian startups provide IT outsourcing, external support services, and game development to global companies, while also encouraging international firms to expand their services in Jordan. This initiative aims to establish new branches, create job opportunities for Jordanians, and enhance the telecommunications and IT sectors in the country.
Hanandeh also noted the programme’s success in boosting cooperation and investment opportunities. Additionally, he highlighted the launch of the Jordanian-Singaporean Tech Alliance Forum, involving a delegation of Jordanian technology leaders on a working visit to Singapore.
Furthermore, Jordan marked its first Arab participation in the South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Exhibition in Texas and also participated in the world’s largest tech event in Portugal.
