Saudi Arabia Launches “Digital Future Readiness Programme” to Boost AI Skills

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the Human Capacity Development Programme (HCDP), has unveiled the “Digital Future Readiness Programme.” This ambitious initiative is aimed at cultivating national expertise in generative artificial intelligence, marking a significant step in preparing Saudi nationals for competitive roles in the global AI arena.

Following a successful pilot phase in partnership with Noon Education Company, the full-scale rollout is poised to empower over 7,000 professionals with cutting-edge skills, fostering a culture of innovation and leveraging AI tools for economic prosperity.

The launch event saw the signing of several key agreements involving Noon Education Company, various educational institutions, and the Insan Association to ensure comprehensive training and the continuous development of digital capabilities throughout the Kingdom.

Distinguished attendees included Eng. Haitham Al-Ohali, Deputy Minister of Communications; Ibrahim Al-Nasser, Undersecretary for Future Capabilities and Jobs; and Eng. Anas Al-Mudaifer, CEO of the Human Capability Development Programme. The event highlighted the crucial role of generative AI skills in advancing national digital capacities and discussed strategies to enhance innovation and productivity using AI technologies.
