VERSES AI, a leader in cognitive computing, has partnered with edge computing firm Analog to initiate a series of smart city projects, starting with a taxi fleet management simulation in Abu Dhabi. Utilizing their Genius platform, the project aims to enhance fleet operations while reducing congestion and emissions, according to a report by WAM.
Gabriel René, CEO of VERSES, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “This project marks our first commercial venture with Analog. Genius is perfectly tailored for smart cities, accommodating diverse stakeholders with varying systems and data-processing methods. Our goal is to equip Analog with tools that transform disparate data into a unified model, enabling continuous generation of insights and recommendations. This will drive significant cost savings and operational efficiencies for fleet operators.”
Alex Kipman, Founder and CEO of Analog, highlighted the strategic alignment of their visions: “Our commitment to AI-powered edge computing complements VERSES’ aspirations for a smarter world. Through Genius, we aim to not only create business value but also enhance human capabilities and simplify daily operations.”
This pilot is the first in a planned series of commercial initiatives by VERSES and Analog, both funded by G42, in Abu Dhabi. These projects are expected to generate about $3 million in revenue for VERSES and will expand into critical sectors like smart mobility, healthcare, and energy, involving key UAE industry stakeholders. The initiative underscores Abu Dhabi’s dedication to leveraging advanced technology to improve societal functions and foster a connected, sustainable future.
