Zain Jordan and National Company for Employment and Training Launch New ZINC Branch in Aqaba to Support Youth Innovation

The National Company for Employment and Training, in collaboration with Zain Jordan and its innovation platform ZINC, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday to establish a new ZINC branch at the National Training Complex in Aqaba. The MoU was signed by Brig. Gen. Nawaf Al-Sarhan, Director General of the National Company, and Zain Jordan CEO Fahd Al-Jasem.

The agreement aims to create a collaborative workspace that targets entrepreneurs and innovators, offering a range of programmes, initiatives, and workshops focused on digital manufacturing and technical education. The Aqaba branch of ZINC will enhance the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth in the region.

Through this partnership, ZINC and the National Company for Employment and Training will provide training sessions and workshops that enable participants to develop ideas and create prototypes using advanced digital manufacturing tools. This initiative is designed to help entrepreneurs turn concepts into tangible projects and market their products.

Zain Jordan stated that this collaboration aligns with its ongoing commitment to supporting Jordanian youth, particularly in the southern governorates. The partnership aims to empower Aqaba’s youth by developing their skills and fostering innovative solutions that create new job opportunities, driving both economic and social development.

The launch of the Aqaba branch coincides with ZINC’s 10th anniversary, marking a decade of innovation and youth empowerment. With the addition of Aqaba, ZINC now operates nine branches across Jordan, further solidifying its position as a leader in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in the country.

The National Company for Employment and Training, a non-profit entity owned by the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, operates under royal directives and is a leading provider of vocational and technical education.
