The fourth annual LEAP25 conference, the region’s premier technology event, concluded yesterday (February 12) at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham. This year’s event, held under the theme “Into New Worlds,” showcased Saudi Arabia’s role as a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI), infrastructure, and cloud computing, with investments surpassing $14.9 billion, as reported by SPA.
This impressive achievement underscores Saudi Arabia’s emergence as a hub for innovation and advanced technology, further bolstering its growing influence in the digital economy. The success of the conference is also a testament to the ongoing support and empowerment provided to the sector by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reinforcing the Kingdom’s commitment to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. This commitment strengthens Saudi Arabia’s position as a global leader in technology, AI, and entrepreneurship.
LEAP is a key global platform that brings together top thinkers and practitioners in the digital space, enabling entrepreneurs, fostering AI-driven innovation, and contributing to the transition toward a thriving and sustainable digital economy. Faisal Al Khamisi, Chairman of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, and Chairman of Tahaluf Company, emphasized that LEAP25 was not just a tech conference but a dynamic international platform. The conference hosted its largest edition yet, facilitating valuable interactions between startups and investors, generating significant deals, and supporting new entrepreneurial projects.
According to Al Khamisi, LEAP has become a global benchmark for deal-making and project launches, enabling tech companies to secure deals within days, a process that would typically take much longer. In addition, he announced that LEAP will expand internationally, with two editions scheduled for next year—one in Riyadh and another in Hong Kong—further cementing Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading global hub for digital innovation and the AI-driven economy.
