South Korean mobile game company NHN Corporation has launched its social casino game, Pebble City, on the Sui blockchain. Developed by NHN’s web3 division, the game blends mobile gaming and web3 with NFTs and the STBL token, powered by Mysten Labs’ Sui blockchain infrastructure.
Pebble City is designed to appeal to mobile gamers who have little to no prior blockchain experience, leveraging Sui’s gaming infrastructure to integrate web3 features seamlessly. Players use Casino Membership NFTs to explore virtual casinos, participate in community games, and earn in-game rewards. Casino games offer players the chance to win Stars, which can be spent or converted into STBL tokens.
Mysten Labs’ co-founder and CPO, Adeniyi Abiodun, praised the game as an example of how Sui enhances gaming without disrupting the player experience, using features like zkLogin and Kiosk to provide a seamless, engaging experience. NHN’s CEO, Ujin Chung, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering a next-level gaming experience and highlighted the growing importance of blockchain adoption in the gaming industry.
