Ministry of Interior Wins IoT Innovation Award for “First Responder” Project at Bahrain Smart Cities Summit

The Ministry of Interior received the Internet of Things (IoT) Innovation Award for its “First Responder” project at the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2025. The award was presented by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, to Major General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security.

In his remarks, the Deputy Chief of Public Security acknowledged the invaluable support from the Minister of Interior and the continuous follow-up by the Chief of Public Security, which has greatly contributed to enhancing the services provided by the National Ambulance Centre.

He expressed pride in receiving the award, which underscores the ministry’s commitment to improving access mechanisms and enhancing the effectiveness and speed of responses to medical emergencies, particularly in congested areas, narrow streets, and passages across all governorates.
