Qatar’s technology sector is undergoing rapid growth, fueled by investments in digital infrastructure and innovation, with the government aiming for a digitally-driven economy that contributes significantly to GDP by 2030. According to Jules Youssef, Managing Director of Great Place to Work Middle East, a robust tech ecosystem could increase annual GDP growth by 1-2%.
At the forefront of this transformation, several companies in Qatar earned recognition in the prestigious GCC rankings for “Best Workplaces in Technology” and “Best Workplaces in Media, Advertising, and Marketing.” Notably, MagniPro Technology Services ranked 17th in the tech category, and UM Qatar placed 12th in Media and Marketing.
Youssef emphasized that ranking as top workplaces enhances Qatar’s appeal to talent and businesses, boosting creativity, productivity, and overall economic diversification. The latest rankings show a notable increase in employee satisfaction, reflecting the positive trends within Qatar’s tech sector, especially as AI and cloud technologies continue to drive innovation and operational efficiency.
Qatar’s growing reputation as a hub for digital innovation and investment is positioning the country as a leader in the digital economy, attracting global talent and fostering a resilient economic landscape.
