Disney to Open Tech-Centric Theme Park in Abu Dhabi in Partnership with Miral

Disney has announced plans to open its most tech-centric theme park to date in Abu Dhabi. This will mark Disney’s seventh theme park resort and is being developed in collaboration with Miral, an Abu Dhabi-based company renowned for creating immersive destinations. The park will be located on Yas Island, a popular entertainment hub known for its striking views and architectural landmarks.

Unlike Disney’s other six global parks, this Abu Dhabi theme park will not be directly owned by the company. Instead, Disney has entered into a licensing agreement with Miral, providing intellectual property and receiving royalties. Disney will oversee the design and development of the park but will not operate it directly, as it does with other resorts like Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

The new park will feature Disney’s iconic characters, stories, and attractions, blended seamlessly with the modern and cultural essence of Abu Dhabi. The resort will offer themed accommodations, unique dining and retail experiences, and immersive entertainment that celebrates both Disney’s legacy and the futuristic essence of the UAE capital.

While Disney has not provided a timeline for the park’s opening, the company assured fans that more details will be revealed as the project progresses. The park aims to offer a new kind of entertainment experience, focusing on cutting-edge technology and immersive storytelling, taking full advantage of its stunning waterfront location.

Miral’s Chairman, Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, expressed his excitement about the partnership, highlighting that it would create a unique experience that blends creativity with the region’s heritage. With Disney’s involvement, the Abu Dhabi theme park is poised to become a major new attraction for the Middle East and beyond, captivating generations of families with its magical experiences.
