Telecoms group Veon has raised its 2025 full-year profit forecast, citing strong expansion in its digital services portfolio across Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The company now expects adjusted EBITDA growth of 16–18%, up from its earlier projection of 14–16%.
In the third quarter, Veon reported adjusted EBITDA of $524 million, marking a 20% year-on-year increase, while revenue rose 7.5% to $1.12 billion. A major contributor to this performance was its growing digital ecosystem — direct digital services revenue surged 63% to $198 million, now accounting for 18% of total revenue, up from 12% a year ago.
Veon continues to leverage its extensive mobile subscriber base by bundling traditional connectivity with mobile payments, delivery platforms, entertainment, and ride-hailing services, particularly in emerging markets such as Pakistan and Bangladesh. This integrated digital strategy is designed to enhance profitability, drive customer engagement, and cement Veon’s position as a leading digital operator in frontier economies.
