A delegation from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Finance has visited Dubai to advance financial cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, under a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries’ finance ministries. The visit focused on strengthening institutional and technical collaboration while examining how digital financial solutions can be applied within Azerbaijan’s public finance systems.
During the meetings, the UAE Ministry of Finance shared its experience in deploying data-driven decision-making tools and advanced analytical platforms to improve public finance management. Discussions also covered public-private partnership models, electronic tax administration, digital contracting systems, treasury operations, and technology-enabled financial control mechanisms.
The exchange highlighted the UAE’s use of digital platforms to enhance transparency, efficiency, and oversight across government financial processes. For Azerbaijan, the engagement provided insight into international best practices that could support the modernization of public finance management and the adoption of digital tools to improve governance and fiscal performance.
By deepening cooperation in digital finance, both sides reinforced their commitment to leveraging technology to strengthen public sector efficiency and financial innovation.
