Zain Kuwait has secured three prestigious regional awards at the Telecom Review Excellence Awards, held alongside the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit in Dubai, in recognition of its leadership in 5G-Advanced deployment, superior network experience, and digital transformation through advanced BSS and OSS solutions.
The awards were presented to Zain Kuwait CEO Nawaf Al-Gharabally for Best 5G Advanced Leading Network in Kuwait, Best Network Experience and Service in the Middle East, and Best BSS/OSS Solutions in the Middle East, reinforcing the company’s position as a leading digital innovator in the region.
Al-Gharabally said the recognition reflects the international telecom community’s endorsement of Zain’s transformation journey in Kuwait and beyond, noting that sustained investments in network infrastructure and digital systems are delivering tangible improvements in customer experience, service quality, and operational simplicity.
He added that the accolades align closely with Zain’s 4WARD “Progress with Purpose” strategy, which focuses on leading next-generation networks, shifting toward digital operating models, and building future-ready infrastructure that supports economic growth and digital innovation in Kuwait. He stressed that technology’s true value lies in serving people and enhancing their lives, with customers placed at the center of every decision.
Zain Kuwait’s achievements include enabling advanced use cases such as robotic telesurgery, which set a Guinness World Record for the longest-distance remote surgery between Kuwait and Brazil, alongside initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions across its network.
The Best 5G Advanced Leading Network award recognised Zain Kuwait’s commercial launch of 5G-Advanced in June 2025, positioning Kuwait among the first markets globally to offer the technology. The service features wide coverage, low latency, and infrastructure designed to support smart cities, IoT applications, and emerging digital services.
The Best Network Experience and Service award highlighted Zain’s fully integrated regional network experience, underpinned by extensive 5G-Advanced coverage, intelligent capacity management, and strong performance in independent benchmarks for mobile speed, gaming, and video quality. These capabilities are enhanced through AI-powered tools for network operations, Open RAN trials, and ongoing efficiency improvements.
Zain was also honoured for Best BSS/OSS Solutions in the Middle East for launching Kuwait’s first comprehensive digital upgrade of a BSS platform, developed in collaboration with Huawei. The next-generation system is designed to enhance customer experience, accelerate omnichannel journeys, automate operations, and enable real-time monitoring and smart maintenance across Zain’s diverse customer segments.
