AFCON 2025: Morocco Launches ‘Match Weather’ Digital Service for Tournament Stadiums

Morocco’s national meteorological agency (DGM) has launched Match Weather, a new digital service providing real-time, geolocated weather forecasts for stadiums and host cities during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The initiative was announced by Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP).

The platform delivers detailed forecasts covering temperature, wind speed, rainfall, humidity, and potential weather alerts ahead of match days. Designed as a free digital tool, Match Weather supports tournament organizers, accredited media, official delegations, and the general public in planning and coordinating match-day operations.

Developed by DGM, the service aims to enhance preparedness and decision-making by ensuring timely access to accurate weather information. It also supports coordination with national authorities and AFCON partners to help ensure smooth tournament operations.

The Match Weather service is accessible via DGM’s official website at https://www.marocmeteo.ma/fr/can-2025.
